Funeral mass for Mike Morris, 70, Lawton, will be at noon Tuesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor officiating. Mr. Morris died Tuesday, February 28, in a local care center. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mike was born January 6, 1942 in Lawton to David A. and Mary Kathryn (Van Lew) Morris. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School, two years at St. Gregory's High School in Shawnee and graduated from Lawton High School in 1960. He attended Cameron State Junior College and graduated with an Associates Degree. He worked for the Lawton-Fort Sill Bus Company. Mike was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jeff and Rebecca Morris, North Carolina, and David and Anna Morris, Texas; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary and her husband Charles Tippit, Dallas, Texas and Susy Morris, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Sammy Morris and Joed Morris both of Lawton; three nieces, Shelby Williams, Molly Lewis and Amy Tippit; a cousin and her husband, Sarah Morris Wade and husband Chuck Wade, Lawton; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Chris Morris and a daughter, Michelle Morris.
