Michael Ray Terrell, 70, was born on March 11, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away on January 30, 2025 in Lawton. He grew up in more than a few locations. His father, Kenneth, served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army.
Mike loved music and enjoyed learning how to play the guitar from his dad. He also learned how to play the piano from his dad and uncle, Jack. He practiced his pieces to perfection and loved to share them on video with family and friends. Mike loved the old hymns of the faith and country music.
Not only did Mike enjoy blessing others with his music, but he also had a heart for the elderly, which he expressed through nursing home visitation, music and work.
By interacting with those living in nursing homes, be brought about encouragement, healing and inspiration.
Finally, Mike was a 'believer', blessing many with his honesty ("Mike was Mike") and his faith. (Psalm 28:6-7).
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the gift that was Michael Terrell (2 Corinthians 9:15).
Mike is survived by his son, Kenneth Terrell of Bedford, Iowa, his son, Robert Terrell of Des Moines, Iowa, his daughter, Gloria Terrell of Woodward, Iowa. He is also survived by his grandson, Trevor Terrell, and his granddaughter, Rebecca Terrell (children of Robert Terrell).
