Age 51, Odessa, Texas - Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. William F. Watkins, Lawton officiating. Michael died Friday in Odessa, Texas following a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. *** The family will greet friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm. *** He was born September 14, 1958 in Lawton to Wallace L. and Bettie F. (Avery) Sammons. He was the oldest of five children. He married Martha Chavez on August 16, 1994. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1976 and attended Cameron University. He was a Pizza-Inn supervisor for the Lawton stores while living here. He owned Pizza-N-Stuff restaurant in Duncan for several years before moving out of state. He was employed as a store manager for Logan's Roadhouse in Odessa, TX. He is survived by his wife Martha of the home, a son Michael Sammons Ford who is stationed in North Carolina, sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Bernd Ingram of Lansing, KS, brother Stephan Sammons of Duncan, brother and sister-in-law David and Anarea Sammons of Duncan, brother and sister-in-law Mark and Bridget Sammons of Corinth, TX, three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Bettie Sammons.
