Michael Dwayne Mhoon, age 65, Lawton, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He was born October 9, 1957 at Fort McClellan, Alabama to George A. and Jackie Deloris (Higginbotham) Mhoon.

Michael grew up in a military family, moving often, but spent most of his school age years in Abilene, Texas.  He married Teresa Gail Fonburg on April 26, 2003 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  She preceded him in death on November 5, 2018.

He was an electrician by trade and worked for Webb Electric for over 25 years.  He worked on several projects at numerous military bases across the United States.

When he was younger, he enjoyed hiking at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.  He loved animals, flower gardening and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy D. and Robert Berndsen, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; nephew, Leo Berndsen, Fort Cobb; great nieces and nephews, Rocker Berndsen, Fort Cobb, and Ryleigh, Kaelyn and Blacyn Sellers, all of Elgin, Oklahoma; as well as numerous other extended family.

His parents preceded him in death.
