Obituary

Funeral service for Michael Hill will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma, under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Michael Todd Hill was born on July 17, 1979. He was the first child and only son born to Debra Jean Hill. He went home to rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a lengthy illness. He had just celebrated his 36th birthday. Michael started his education at Almor West Elementary, which is where he discovered his love of sports and continued at Eisenhower Jr. and Sr. High. Michael played baseball, basketball, and to his mother's horror football, but soccer was his passion and he excelled at the sport and became an All-State player his senior year. Michael studied at OU briefly and was a hardcore fan throughout his life. His interests in graphic design and graffiti art soon pulled him to follow his roommate to California where he worked on perfecting his style while working as a DJ. In California he eventually met his best friend Suhair Jayyusi. She was an important part of his life for many years, through illness, two surgeries and lengthy hospital stays in California. Mikey was funny, compassionate and very interested in people. He made friends easily and was well liked by anyone he came to know. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Freddie and Juanita Hill. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Debra Hill and her partner Mark Browning; two sisters, Kimberly Hill and Melissa Dyches & husband Brandon; and the love of his life, Suhair Jayyusi. In addition he leaves an uncle, Cleveland Wilds, two aunts, Shirley Williams and Carolyn Edmonson, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
