Word has been received on the death of Michael Steven Barton, Sr, 62, Mountain Park. Mr. Barton died Saturday in an Altus hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. He was born September 15, 1946 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to James Earl and Ruby L. (Baker) Barton. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his three children, Tammy Lynn Barton of Denison, TX, Brian Barton and wife Deana of Arlington, TX, Jeffrey Alan Barton, Sr. of Springfield, SD, his wife Caroline Barton of Denison, TX, two brothers, Billy Barton of Mountain Park, OK, Kenneth Barton of Canyon City, CO, his mother Ruby L. Barton of Mountain Park, OK, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Jim Barton, Jr., son Michael Barton, Jr., and his first wife Mary Frances Barton.
