Michael Wayne Arnett, 54, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025,
at home with his family by his side. Michael was born May 16th, 1970, in Lawton, to Deanna
Broberg (Arnett). At his request, there will be no services. There will be a celebration of his
life at a later date.
Deanna married Jerry Young, in 1973, who was stationed at Ft. Sill at the time. As a military family they made their home in-many places, including Germany, Colorado, and Illinois. The family enjoyed camping and fishing in Colorado. Michael and his mother returned to Lawton in 1981.
Michael always had a special relationship with his Grandma Arnett. They spent most summers playing board games and croquet. Some summers also included being with his special cousins.
After graduating from Lawton Eisenhower in 1988, Michael enlisted in the army. After his honorable discharge, he lived in Louisiana, and Texas, returning to live in Lawton in 2003.
On August 5th, 2014, Michael married Christin Clawson, who had three children from a previous marriage, Caleb, Charles and Caitlin. Michael was a kind and caring person, who loved his family dearly, including the beloved family Chihuahua, Trigger. Sadly, Michael will not get to see Charles graduate from OSU Engineering School. Michael was very proud of his younger brother, Derek, often mentioning what a great Dad he is to his son, Dallas. Michael and Dallas enjoyed their time together, and all of the conversations and debates they had, since Dallas was 4 years old.
Michael was the framing manager at Lawton Hobby Lobby for many years until he could no longer work, due to his health. Some of his hobbies and passions included, reading books, collecting and listening to all kinds of CD's, watching martial arts movies and Youtube videos, and hiking in the Wichita Mountains with his family and his best friend Roy.
