Maxine Broome, age 91, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born June 26, 1924 in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Roy and Lula Mae (Hennessee) Cooper. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and was a 1942 graduate of Lawton High School. She married George W. Broome on October 17, 1942 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1992. Maxine worked for several years at the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Service office and spent the remaining years as a homemaker. She had worked at the Comanche County Election Board and had been a member of the Mend It Club. Maxine was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and she had served as a kindergarten Sunday school teacher and served on the benevolence committee. She had many loving family members and friends who were there for her. Her biggest love was for her grandchildren and her six great grandchildren. She was in the delivery room for the birth of her three oldest great grandchildren. That memory was so precious to her. She cherished her family. She is survived by her daughter, Gaye Eccles; a grandson, Michael Eccles and wife Brandy; a granddaughter, Meredith Storm and husband Dustin; six great grandchildren, Dawson, Nathan, Nicholas, Kayla, Christian and Brooke; a sister, Evelyn Burch; a brother in law, Frank Tucker; and two nieces and a nephew, Cindy Hale, Julie Ray and husband Tim and Blake Tucker and wife Lorie. Her sister, Betty Tucker, preceded her in death.
