Obituary

Memorial service for Maxie Hoskins, 53, Lawton, will be 2:00 pm Monday at First Baptist East with Rev. Doug Passmore, Pastor, officiating. Mr. Hoskins died Thursday, December 1, in Lawton. Arrangements are with the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Maxie was born January 22, 1958 in Lawton to Levi G. and Lois Rebecca (Ford) Hoskins. He married AlLisa Trueblood on June 12, 1985 in Lawton. Maxie received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. "He was so dearly loved, as husband, father, brother and friend. He was the mentor and rock for far too many, for far too long. The lazy evenings filled with a cicada's serenade will be postponed. Now we must find our strength in the Lord's grace and move on until we are able to join him and once again feel the warmth, security and love within his arms." He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Zachary Joseph Hoskins; a sister and her husband, Julia and Duncan Way, San Antonio, Texas; a niece, Michele Fields; and a nephew, Jeffrey Fields. His parents preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Building for His Glory Fund", First Baptist East, 3302 SE Lee Blvd., Lawton, OK 73501, or the J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter, P.O. Box 2622, Lawton, OK 73502.
