Age 81, Mountain Park - Service will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder, with Rev. Jeff Flowers, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Snyder officiating. Mr. Hargrove died Tuesday in an Altus nursing home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. **** The family will greet friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. **** He was born August 31, 1926 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to J.F. and Twyla (Drew) Hargrove. He grew up on a farm, and did some ranching. He worked in the oilfields for 33 years. Max loved playing cards, dominos and gardening. He was a member of the MOOSE Lodge. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Randy Hargrove and his wife Deborah and Lynn Hargrove and his wife Paula, all of Hobbs, NM. Two sisters, Letha Perrin of Snyder and Gladys Winters of Jasper, AR, and a brother Sam Hargrove and his wife Maxine of Snyder, OK. Other survivors include Grandchildren Keri Garrett and her husband Bryan of Denton, TX, Jody Hargrove and wife Jessica of Hobbs, NM, Kellie Mayfield and husband Mike of Hobbs, NM, Michael Hargrove of Hobbs, NM and great grandchildren Jayce Hargrove and Jamison Mayfield.
