Funeral service for Mattie Grace Langston, 85, Lawton will be at 2:00pm Monday in the Lawton Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles King, Pastor officiating. Mrs. Langston died Tuesday in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born April 9, 1925 in Cass County, Texas to Pleas Hardin and Lois (Taylor) Stone. She married CW2 (Retired) Charles O. Langston on May 28, 1944 in Yuma, AZ. He died October 5, 2010. She worked many years in retail sales at Sears and Anthony's. She was a homemaker and a member of Lawton Heights United Methodist Church. She loved her grandchildren, and was a lifelong seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She was a soldiers faithful wife, a loving and caring mother, she was better than we deserved. She is survived by her two sons, Charles Donald Langston and wife Cathy of Muskogee, OK, Ronald H. Langston and wife Sandra of Durant, OK, a brother Bob Henry Stone of Kirksville, MO, four grandchildren, Lori Dawn PaskVan, Shelley Smith Langston, Jennifer Whatley, Garrett Stone Langston and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and seven brothers.
