Obituary

Matthew (Matt) Ryan Hrnciar was born to Jerry and Suzanne Hrnciar on April 16, 1986, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was their blessing from God. He departed this life on October 14, 2024, at the age of 38.

Services will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 7th and A Avenue in Lawton, Oklahoma with Rev. Dr. Bill Schneider officiating. Matt was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of St. John.

He attended Cameron University Pre-School, then Hugh Bish Elementary and Tomlinson Jr. High before graduating from Lawton High School with the class of 2005. Matt attended Cameron University, majoring in Agriculture.

Matt lived in his "Happy Place" at the family owned Shinnery Creek Ranch in Pakan, Texas. He particularly loved the hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He worked in the oil field in that area and became a welder. After returning to Southwest Oklahoma, he was the overseer of the family farm near Velma, Oklahoma.

Our family was not expecting Matt's life to be cut short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss, and he will be forever missed. Matt was a naturally sweet and kind soul with a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met. He had a "gift of gab" and always had a joke or story. No one was a stranger to him, and he was instantly liked by all.

He had a great love for nature and the outdoors. Always accompanied by his best buddy Newt, his dog. He and that dog had a special bond.

Survived by his loving parents, Jerry and Suzanne Hrnciar, sister Amy (Leon) McBride of Duncan, niece Lacy Bolden of Lawton, nephew Dylan (Natalie) McBride of Tulsa, uncle Mark (Kim) Green of Lubbock, TX, aunt Molly Jaramillo of Albuquerque, NM, aunt Martha (Art) Pforr of Ft. Collins, CO and many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and Newt.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Buddy and Sue Green and John and Christine Hrnciar.

Burial will be at a later date at the Pakan family cemetery.
