Age 93, former Lawton resident of Marlow - Services will be 3:30 PM Friday in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mark Gregory, Marlow, officiating. Mrs. Way died Tuesday at the Marlow Manor nursing home in Marlow. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born on March 7, 1914 in Washita County, Oklahoma to Frank and Ethel Nelson. She attended grade school in Alfalfa and Oklahoma City. She graduated from Walters High School in 1930. She attended Cameron College. She married Howard A. Way on April 4, 1934 in Chickasha. They enjoyed many trips together to South Padre Island during their 59 years of marriage. He died on November 24, 1993. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Gay Cox of Lawton; two granddaughters, Denise Asbury and her husband, Mark, and Janice Ray and her husband, James, all of Lawton; three great grandchildren, Heather Asbury of Irving, Texas, and Jamie and Matt Ray, both of Lawton; a sister, Glenna Hargrove of Oklahoma City; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters, preceded her in death.
