Memorial service for Mary Ann Torbert, 84, Lawton will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Patrick Latham, pastor officiating. Mrs. Torbert died Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Lawton. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. She was born April 2, 1930 in Lawton to Orlo C. and Lurena (Baggett) Lewis. She attended Lawton High School. She married her childhood sweetheart D.E. "Smokey" Torbert on November 2, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died February 26, 2006. Mary Ann loved to travel and attend sporting events with her husband. She enjoyed her Tuesday afternoon china painting. She was a member of Junior Service League and First Baptist Church. Mary Ann was devoted to her family and took pride in making things for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Blose, Lawton, three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Nancy Torbert, Cache, Mike and Debbie Torbert, Bethany and David and Karen Torbert, Lawton, daughter-in-law, Sherri Torbert, Norman, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Orlo and Mary Lewis, Yukon and two childhood friends, Marilyn Crane, Lawton and Ella Marie Capozzi, San Antonio, Texas.
