Funeral service for Mary Ellen Ryans will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Bible Baptist Church, Lawton with Dr. Bob Weger, Pastor officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary Ellen Ryans, 94, Lawton passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Lawton.  She was born on April 11, 1927 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Sherman Franklin and Nannie (Carnes) Hargrove.  She married Verlin James Ryans on October 28, 1940 in Lawton.  He passed away in 1984.  Mary Ellen was a homemaker.

Survivors include her three daughters; Ava Martin, Virginia Traughber and Marilyn Weatherly and husband Mel, all of Lawton, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Ruby and Ruth, three brothers, Johnny, William and Virgil and three great grandchildren; Josh Hutchinson, Ashley Simmons and Kodi Kelly.
