Funeral service for Mary K. Maxberry-Frisbie will be at 4:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert E. Rose, Jr., Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Lawton officiating.

Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, OK.

Mary K. Maxberry-Frisbie (Mary Kathryn Shaw), 89, Lawton passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Lawton.  She was born July 19, 1928 in Francis, Oklahoma.  She grew up in Ada and graduated from East Central University in 1966.  She began teaching in Lawton, where she taught 4 ^th grade at B.C. Swinney Elementary for many years and then taught 1 ^st grade at John Adams Elementary.  She was beloved by her students, some of whom were with her in her last days.  She married MSG (Retired) Arthur E. Maxberry on July 10, 1946.  He passed away July 8, 1978.  In November of 2002 she married Marvin G. Frisbie in Dallas, TX.  After Arthur's death, she took over as the owner and manager of the College Apartments, and often thought of her renters as adopted children.  She was a faithful Christian and a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, enjoyed playing Bridge, genealogy and traveling.  Mary was a loving, generous and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, sister, neighbor and friend.

Mary is survived by her husband Marvin Frisbie of the home, her daughter Annette Maxberry-Carrara and husband Jean-Louis Carrara of Sitges, Spain and her grandchildren, Dylan Maxberry of Minneapolis, MN, Arielle Carrara of Barcelona, Spain, Armand Carrara of Houston, TX and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Maxberry, her brothers, James, Bill, Charles Shaw, an infant brother and her son Richard Maxberry.
