Obituary

Francy Lee, as she was fondly known to her family and many friends, was born Mary Francys Foster on March 6, 1946, in Corsicana, Texas to James Thomas Foster and Glenna Louise Watson Foster. Francy passed away peacefully at Comanche County Memorial Hospital on May 2, 2026, after a several year battle with cancer.

A simple Celebration of Life will be held at Lawton Heights United Methodist Church, 1514 NW Andrews, at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Francy's family moved to Lawton, Oklahoma, when her father was stationed here in 1958. She attended B.C. Sweeney Elementary School, Central Junior High School, and graduated from Lawton High School in 1964. She attended Cameron College (now Cameron University), the University of Oklahoma, and ultimately graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management. She earned a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University Law School Government Contracts Program.

In 1967 Francy married Steve Weyher, and in 1968 they purchased and operated Martin's Restaurant, a long-time well-known and valued dining establishment in Lawton. Francy was the hostess and catering manager for 12 years. She later became executive assistant to the Western Division Economic Development Manager for Public Service Company of Oklahoma. In 2001 she joined Advanced Systems Technology, Inc., (AST) where she ultimately became the Director of Contracts. She was with AST for 25 years, until she retired in 2024.

In 1999, Francy married the love of her life, Brad Lee. They met at a karaoke event, and together operated Kan-Do Karaoke as a hobby venture for over 10 years.

Francy was preceded in death by her father, James T. Foster; her mother, Glenna Louise Foster, and by her daughter, Wendy Weyher Weeks.

She is survived by her husband Bradley Wayne Lee, of the home; her sister, Sylvia "Woogie" Burgess and husband, John Courington; sisters-in-law Teresa Waller and husband Kim; Dr. Angela Lee and wife, Lynn; son, Jason Weyher and wife Elizabeth; step-son Steven Lee; former son-in-law James Weeks; grandsons Joshua Myers; Matthew Reed and husband Nicholas; Caleb Weyher; Brayden Weyher; step-grandchildren Shelby and Brendan Weeks; great grand-daughters Robin Myers; Persephone Myers; nephews Bradley Burgess and wife Larissa; Jace Waller; nieces Bevy Burgess; Addison Lee; Olivia Lee; grand-nephews Blake Burgess; Foster Burgess Costilla; Elías Lee.

Francy was a dedicated servant to her church and community, a loyal friend, and loved her family, friends and "puppies" with a passion. She was genuinely interested in people and their lives and never missed a chance to support and encourage others. We all loved her deeply and she will be greatly missed, but we will celebrate her life often. She would want all of you to know how incredibly blessed and grateful she was to have shared in your life in some way.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Lawton Heights United Methodist Church, 1514 NW Andrews, Lawton, OK 73507.
