Age 95, Lawton - Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Mallow, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Howell died Saturday at a local hospital. She was born October 25, 1914 in Faxon, Oklahoma to Peter F. and Viola (Bridges) Fleming. She graduated from Faxon High School with the class of 1932. She was employed as a telephone operator by Southwestern Bell from 1942 until her retirement in 1972. She married Floyd Howell in Lawton on January 1, 1964. He died on June 11, 1991. Mrs. Howell was a loving mother and grandmother. She was the kindest person anyone could know. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by two grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Doralynn Howell and Kimberly and Pablo Sandoval; three great grandchildren, Shannon Jirtle, Derrick Howell and Kristin and her husband Hugo Gonzalez; seven great-great grandchildren, Juliaane Sandoval, Saralynn Sandoval, Chyenne Jirtle, Chelse Jirtle, Jordan Jirtle, Darran Anthony Howell and Kylee Gonzalez; a sister-in-law, Minnie Fleming; numerous nieces; and dear friends, Tommie and Evelyn Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rowland Howell; a grandson, Darran Howell; two sisters, Jane and Fannie; two brothers, Joe Fleming and Todd Fleming; and a nephew, L.C. Fleming.
