Age 88, Lawton - Services will be 9:30 AM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mary went home to be with her Savior on Monday, February 18, 2008 in a local hospital. Burial will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. She was born September 28, 1919 in Jamestown Township, Steuben County, Indiana to Vergil J. and Lillie L. (Carr) King. She moved with her family to Tekonsha, Michigan at 18 months of age. She accepted Christ as her Savior at 13 years of age. She worked at Mercy Jones Hospital in Michigan from 1941 to 1942. She worked for Kellogg Cereal Company from 1943 to 1945. She married Ernest A. Cuny on March 11, 1942 in Battle Creek, Michigan. They lived in Illinois, Arkansas, Minnesota, California, Washington, Oklahoma, Germany and Texas. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, two sons, Matthew Cuny and his wife Cindy, Midland, Texas and Thomas Cuny, Pittsburg, Kansas, a brother, Ernest King, Coldwater, Michigan and two grandchildren, Jeanna Cuny, Clinton, South Carolina and Janice Cuny, College Station, Texas. Mrs. Cuny is preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Hopewell and Isabel Chase and three brothers, Arthur, Vergil and Bill King. Mary was loved by many and will be missed by all.
