Age 97 - Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, Concordia University, The Rock House, 200 Faculty Lane, Seward, NE. Mrs. Horacek died March 15 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Private family interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Brainard, Nebraska. Martha was born May 30, 1912 in Rushville, Nebraska, to Morris A. and Josie Merl (Clark) Horn. She grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska and was married to Lad A. (Jake) Horacek on September 24, 1933 in Norfolk. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1975. Prior to her marriage, she had worked as a sales clerk before managing her home and family with great love and skills. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. She is survived by her sons, Perry, Jerry, David; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Several brothers, sisters and son Charles preceded her in death.
