Graveside service for Marjorie Dewan Miles will be at 11:00 Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Steve Mallow, Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Lawton officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Marjorie Dewan Miles, 82, Lawton, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 in a Lawton nursing home.  She was born June 17, 1934 in Stone County, Mississippi to Andron and Laura Miles.  She was an excellent basketball player in high school.  She married James Clinton Miles on January 1, 1954 in Mississippi.  He passed away November 26, 2004.  She worked at Kress Five and Dime, worked for a time in a sewing factory and cleaned for Jean Hamilton.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her two children, Sherran K. Carter of Geronimo, Gerald and Lyn Miles of Okmulgee, two grandchildren, Amy Smith-Ellis, Cody Carter, three great-grandchildren, Amanda Henry and Mason, and three great-great grandchildren, Oliver and Adaline Thomas and Kade Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 8 siblings, Reba, Geneva, Cathleene, Hilda, Arlene, Otta, Clozell, Jonnie, and her son James Dewane Miles.
