Age 86, Lawton - Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hudson officiating. Mr. Hill died October 5, 2010 in a Lawton care center. Private family burial will be in the Pecan Cemetery, southwest of Lawton, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mr. Hill was born March 15, 1924 in Lawton to William Alfred and Hazel (MacKay) Hill. He was a graduate of Cache High School and later attended Cameron College and studied agriculture for one year. He ranched and raised Hereford cattle as well as farmed cotton, wheat and hay on the family homestead southwest of Lawton on Pecan Creek his entire life. He loved fishing and small game hunting. He was a superb lathe woodworker. He wasn't a joiner except for being a life member of the NRA. He was a kind, loving, honest, gentle man who loved his family and was a good friend. He is survived by a niece, Phyllis Carney; a brother in law, Philip Carney and cousins Allen Butch Hill and David Hill. His parents and a sister, Ruby Hill Carney, preceded him in death.
