Marilyn Lou Teel was born on January 17, 1952, to Ivron and Ova Lou (Stancil) Wood in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on July 5, 2025 at her home in Rocky Ford (south of Cement), Oklahoma. She was 73 years, 5 months and 18 days old.

Marilyn grew up in Cement, Oklahoma. She attended Cement Schools and graduated in 1970. She attended OCLA (now USAO) in Chickasha, Oklahoma from 1970 to 1971. After college, she worked at Sequoyah Mills in Anadarko, Oklahoma, and then Hermetic Switch in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Dan Edward Teel, on December 29, 1976 at the home of her parents. After a few months of marriage, she quit working to take care of their home in Rocky Ford, Oklahoma. Dan & Marilyn decided to buy the old Rocky Ford store from Mr. and Mrs. Carter and moved there. They discovered a lot of treasures going through the remains of the business and had several articles written about their home. Dan and Marilyn have two children from this union. After several years, she decided to become a business owner of the Triple K Tan and Tone and changed the name to My Paradise Hut & Kut. She decided to retire from the business at the age of 60 and stay at home.

Marilyn had a wide variety of interests that she became known for; her love of reading, especially the Harlequin romance books with her collection of Janet Dailey books; and crocheting that her mother-in-law, Ruby, taught her. She especially loved to crochet Barbie clothes, baby blankets and clowns. Later, she discovered scrapbooking. She started collecting pictures and became interested in genealogy. After Dan's father had passed away, she and Dan moved in to take care of his mother, Ruby.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Ivron & Ova Lou Wood; her in-laws, Tommy and Ruby Teel and one brother-in-law, David Teel.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dan of the home; her daughter, Amy Blythe & husband, Aaron of Cement; her son, Jeremiah (Jerry) Teel of Rocky Ford; two grandsons, Briar Blythe and Hunter Blythe of Cement; two brothers, John Wood of El Paso, Texas, Wendell Wood & wife, Paula of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; one sister, Annette Jackson of Cement, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Becky Teel of Rocky Ford, Oklahoma; nieces & nephews, Machelle, Shelly, Paul, Shane, Jason, Meggin, Jeremy, Kristi & Keith; and lots of great-nieces and nephews and extended family.
