Funeral services for Marie Isabell Prowse, 83, Snyder, will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Snyder with Elder Norman Jones officiating. Mrs. Prowse died Saturday, March 8, 2014 in a Frederick hospital. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening, March 11, 2014 from 4pm until 7pm at the funeral home. She was born April 14, 1930 in Granite, Oklahoma to William Wesley and Oma Lee Cook. She married William Richard Prowse on September 4, 1949 in Snyder, OK. He died April 14, 1998. She enjoyed reading books, quilting and loved fishing. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her four children, Mary Elizabeth Barton and husband William of Mountain Park, OK, Debbie Louise Abbott and husband Stephan of Toma, WI, Karen Lee Brady of Mountain Park, OK, Lesa Kay Smith and husband David of Frederick, OK, daughter-in-law Bessie Prowse of Alexandria, LA, grandchildren; Bruce Barton of Mountain Park, OK, Timothy Barton and Brandy Day of Burkburnett, TX, Pete Barton and Ashley Zust of Mountain Park, OK, Shawnna Abbott of Toma, WI, Kay Mohs and husband Jeff of Toma, WI, Patrick Brady and wife Jessa of Toma, WI, Crystal Brady of Mountain Park, OK, Jimmy Grimes of Wisconsin, Matthew Brady and wife Becky of Wisconsin, Melissa Anne Smith and Dirk of Frederick, OK, Melinda Aguilera of Altus, OK, Dallas William Prowse and wife Amanda of Alexandria, LA, John Prowse of Alexandria, LA, 32 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a sister Willie Lee Moore of Altus, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Charles Wesley Prowse, grandson Richard Duane Barton and a granddaughter Mya Marie Aguilera.
