Age 87, Lawton - Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, Pastor, and Rev. Mike Teel, Associate Pastor, Cameron Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Crowell died Saturday in Lawton. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. She was born on June 7, 1922 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to William C. and Pauline (Rainwater) Hensley. She married MSG (Ret) George S. Mitchell on November 1, 1940 in Pryor, OK. He died on October 7, 1995. She then married Clifton W. Crowell on September 9, 1996 in Denison, TX. He died on November 11, 2003. She had been a salesperson for Beauty Counselor Cosmetics which later became Vanda Beauty Cosmetics. She was a longtime member of Cameron Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron and Sheron Mitchell of Prague, OK and Steve Mitchell of Tulsa, OK; 2 grandchildren, Tommy Mitchell and his wife Tena of Oklahoma City and Sheila Mitchell of Euless, TX; a great granddaughter, Anita Ashley Mitchell; 2 brothers and their wives, Bill and Sue Hensley of Owasso, OK and Gordon and Jane Hensley of Jefferson, Oregon; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jennings and Wanda Mitchell of Pryor, OK; an adopted family, Dustin and Andrea Nease and their children, Alex and Josh; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents; an infant daughter, Tamara Gay Mitchell; a brother, Bobby Lee Hensley; and 3 sisters, Margie Brooks, Loretta Bowser and Sylvia Roscoe preceded her in death.
