Funeral service for Marianne A.B. Tuohy will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral Home.

Marianne A.B. Tuohy, age 91, Lawton, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born December 17, 1925 in Wasserburg-am-Inn, Germany to Oskar and Marianne Winkler.  She grew up in Germany and after finishing her education she completed an internship at City Hall.  Marianne married SFC (Retired) John Kevin Tuohy in Germany.  He preceded her in death on September 20, 1988.

Mrs. Tuohy was retired from AAFES where she worked in accounting and bookkeeping.  She was a member of the Society of Military Widows.  She created beautiful needlepoint pieces and enjoyed knitting.  She was also an excellent cook, a skill which she enjoyed sharing with others.  She loved her family and was proud of her children, grandchildren and so many others who called her Oma.  She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Oz Tuohy, Sparks, Nevada; her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret E. and Joe Wood, Lawton; three grandchildren, Tobi J. Tuohy and wife Wendy, Heidi Jeffers and husband Michael and Miranda Wood; her great grandchildren Kami, Jordan, Zachary, Kasi, Jayden and Hunter.

Her parents, her brother and her daughter-in-law, Maggie, preceded her in death.
