Age 82, Lawton - Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Owczarek died Tuesday in a local hospital. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mrs. Owczarek was born March 22, 1928 in East Germany to Herman and Meta (Kamrat) Schiller. She grew up in Germany. She married Henry Owczarek on July 11, 1953 in Germany. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2002. She had worked as a beautician and had been a member of a bowling league at Thunderbird Lanes. She is survived by a son, Hank Owczarek, Lawton; three daughters and two sons in law, Helen Stull, Lawton, Angelika and Jim Larkin, Norwich, Connecticut, and Maria and Bruce Barber, Lawton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Brian Sumner, Jamie and Glenn Webster, Michelle and Eddie Adams, Jeremy Barber and Jessica and Kelly Douglas; five great grandchildren, Evan James Sumner, Olivia Jae Webster, Konner Barber, Kamran Barber and Lily Douglas; a sister, Gisela Young, Lawton; several nieces and nephews.
