Graveside funeral service for Margie White will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Mcguire officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Margie M. White, age 91, died Friday, December 11, 2015 in Lawton. She was born May 10, 1924 in Lindsay, Oklahoma, to Alfred W. and Viola J. Slaydon Fuller. She was the youngest of 8 children. Her family moved to Hollister, OK where she attended school & played basketball for Hollister High School.
After high school she moved to Frederick and during WWII, she worked at the nearby Frederick Army Airfield. She then met her future husband, who had just returned home to Devol, OK in 1945 after serving 4 years with the US Navy during the war.
She married Frank J. White on May 17, 1946, in Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1984. Early in their marriage, they briefly lived in Arvin, CA. They returned to Oklahoma in the late 1940's and permanently settled in Lawton. Together they had 4 children, all girls. Margie was active in PTA & was "homeroom mother" for her daughters' classrooms for many years. Until the end of her life, Margie was very proud of & spoke often of her girls.
Mrs. White was a homemaker and family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She had been a member of the B.P.O.E. DOES and was involved along with her husband in Lawton's first AMBUCS club. She loved to read.
She is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Shirley and Bill Beamer, Oklahoma City, Judy and Bill Bradley, Flower Mound, Texas, Kathie and Jerry Ogle, Lawton and Terri and Fred Kelley, Benicia, California; five grandchildren, Lori Hughes, Kelly Yingling, Bryan Witt, Jason Yingling & Matt Kelley; seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her granddaughter, Kristin Witt Breeze preceded her in death.
