Funeral service for Margie Birdwell, 88, Snyder will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel with Emmett Hayslip, Mountain Park, OK officiating. Margie passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Snyder. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery, Southwest of Snyder, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. She was born November 8, 1925 in Catoosa, Oklahoma to Jacob Fulton and Minerva (Leach) Garrison. She married Wilburn P. "Buck" Birdwell on June 22, 1956 in Altus, OK. He passed away May 27, 2004. She walked everywhere she went, and never learned to drive. She enjoyed her family, playing card games and working word search puzzles. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Snyder. Survivors include her two sisters, Alice Lovely and husband Bob of Oklahoma City, Norma Jordan of Dallas, TX, a brother Johnny Garrison of Fort Worth, TX, sister-in-law Gaynell Garrison of Altus, OK, three daughters, Carolyn Buxton and husband James of Altus, OK, Norma Lou Stewart of Altus, OK, Lynda Jones and husband Ronnie of Altus, OK, two step-daughters, Shirley Bradshaw and husband Louie of Benton, AR, Marquita Ritchareon and husbnd Char of La Mirada, CA, a son Richard "Ricky Birdwell" Stewart and wife Donna of Shawnee, OK, two step-sons, Jerry Birdwell of Mountain Park, OK, Larry Birdwell and wife Debbie of Snyder, OK and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, three brothers, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.
