Margarete K. Wait, 87, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A private family service for Margarete K. Wait will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery.

Margarete was born on March 8, 1937, in Saarbruecken, Germany to Iwanowitach (Paul) and Katharina (Anna) Koslowsky. She met Boyd D. "Johnny" Wait while he was stationed in Germany, and they were married on December 24, 1959. They had a long and adventurous life together. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2013.

Margarete is survived by her son, Mike Wait and wife Suzan; daughter, Tammy Cowley-Elkins and husband Joe; three grandchildren, Chris Wait, Justin Wait and Ashley Cowley Beck and husband Nigel; three great grandchildren, Yosef Yitzchok Wait, Shalom DovBer Wait, and Rivka Leah Wait and one sister.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband and her brothers and sisters.
