Funeral service for Margarete A. Dailey, 87, Lawton, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dennis Dawson officiating. Mrs. Dailey died Friday in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mrs. Dailey was born April 17, 1925 in Bremen, Germany to Georg H. and Caroline Kukoreit. She grew up in Germany and married CW4 (Retired) Ivan E. Dailey on June 10, 1948 in Bremen. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2001. She and her husband came to Lawton in 1950 and later lived in Weatherford, Oklahoma, before returning to Lawton. She had worked for the Lawton Public Schools for sixteen years as a secretary with the Board of Education and later worked at the Vogue Dress Shop for seven years. She was a charter member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was also a member of the B.P.O.E. Does. She enjoyed traveling and attending barbershop quartet concerts. She was a devoted wife to her husband who was the love of her life'. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her brother and a sister preceded her in death.
