Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Margaret A. Weaver was born July 13, 1924 in Scott City, Kansas to John and Myrtle O'Neal. She died Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Lawton at the age of 94. She graduated from Manning High School in Manning, Kansas. She was active in all sports: basketball, volleyball, tennis, track, softball and bowling. Following graduation, she began work at Western Hardware as a retailer and when the business was purchased by Bryan's Hardware she was promoted to secretary.
She met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Weaver who was working for Precision Exploration, doing oil field mapping. They were married on June 16, 1952 in Valentine, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2015. Together they built and started their restaurant, "Dairy Mart", which was located at 1209 N. Sheridan Road in Lawton. In 1979 they moved the restaurant east of Lawton on Highway 7 and renamed it "Bob's Dairy Mart". They retired in 2007 when the building burned. Throughout the years they had the opportunity to become acquainted with many people in the community and considered each of them as family. Margaret enjoyed going to the casino, not so much to gamble, but to fellowship with friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and John Lynn, Lawton; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Weaver, Lawton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Dusty Weaver, Brad and Brittany Weaver, Carrie and Nick Seymour, Parker Lynn and Sydney Lynn; and five great grandchildren, Ethan Weaver, Riley Weaver, Colton Weaver, Alexander Weaver and Patrick Seymour.
Her son, Bobbie Joe Weaver, one sister and eight brothers preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Letitia Baptist Church, 2606 S. Hwy 65, Lawton, OK 73501.
