Graveside service for Margaret Elizabeth Turnmire will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, with Chaplain (MAJ) Timothy Gresham officiating.  Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Margaret Elizabeth Turnmire, age 93, Lawton, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her residence.  She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Margaret was born February 14, 1924 in Maryville, Tennessee.  She married CSM (Retired) Lake Turnmire on August 4, 1941 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He preceded her in death on May 31, 1980.

Margaret was an avid Christian all of her life.  Her husband was a career soldier of 40 years service and the family traveled the world with him. Margaret was a homemaker but had also worked with AAFES for many years.  She was active in New Post Chapel and enjoyed yard work.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Frank Turnmire and Cheryl Tomlinson, Thornton, Colorado; two granddaughters, Courtney Bennett and husband Daryl, Thornton, Colorado and  Natalie Turnmire Chase and husband Robert, Denver, Colorado; great grandchildren, Braelynn Bennett, Kylie Chase and Connor Chase.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Bill Kidd, and a sister, Roxie Woods.
