Graveside service for Margaret D. Pennington, 96, Lawton will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dennis Dawson, associate pastor at First Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Pennington died Friday in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. She was born October 29, 1914 in Dodd City, Texas to E. E. and Mary F. (Boyett) Fletcher. She married Curtis Lee Pennington on November 6, 1933 in Durant. He died January 16, 1988. Mrs. Pennington worked as the receiving manager at the Dixie Department Store and Perkins Department Store until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star #507 and the Lawton Garden Club. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Linda Pennington, Lawton, six grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Jimmy De Bona, Florida, Kelly and Robbie Agee, Hydro, Stacy McMillion, Lawton, Tommy Watts, Walters, Elizabeth Myhers, Colorado and Terry Pennington, Temple. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, Doyle Pennington, granddaughter, Sherry Beville and four brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1320 N.W.
