Age 79, Lawton - Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm Sunday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Meade died Thursday at her home. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born September 8, 1929 in Fletcher, Oklahoma to William C. and Viola (Breedlove) Lawson. She married Raymond I. Meade on June 16, 1964 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died August 24, 1989. She is survived by three children, Karen Meade and husband Robert Robinson of Lawton, Thomas Meade and wife Joni of Mesa, AZ, Laura Meade of Lawton, OK, two foster daughters, Rebecca Harmon and friend Dawn Chapman of Jones, OK, Cookie Briscoe of Lawton, OK, sister, Darlene Timken of Geronimo, OK, brother Marion Lawson of Lawton, OK, grandchildren, Kenneth McAlister, Jr., Jesse McAlister, James McAlister, Sandy, Melissa and Raymond Meade. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers John Henry Lawson and Clay Lawson.
