Margaret E. "Max"/"Mum" Hooper, 74, of Lawton, Oklahoma and formerly of England passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at her home just west of Lawton. She was born August 7, 1949 in London, England to Dennis and Laura (Partridge) Winckles. She was raised in the United Kingdom and was an accountant for most of her life before retiring. She met David Hooper about 30 years ago and they became friends. The pair saw each other off and on for several years before marrying on June 7, 2017 in Lawton. David and Margaret really enjoyed each other's company, and they raised chickens and grew vegetables at their home. Margaret enjoyed travelling, especially going home to England.

Margaret battled numerous illnesses over the past several years including defeating cancer four times. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margaret is survived by her husband of the home, four children, Toni Wittrock residing in Houston, Texas, Darren Faulkner, Kim Faulkner, and Ryan Fieldwick all from the United Kingdom, seven grandchildren, Luca, Owen, Seth, Sophie, Quinn, Katelyn, and Audrey, one brother, Geoff and four sisters, Patricia, Pauline, Susan, and Linda.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Winckles.
