Age 86, Snyder - Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the First Baptist Church, Snyder with Rev. Jeff Flowers, Pastor officiating. Mrs. Clevenger died Sunday in a Snyder nursing home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. *** Family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. *** She was born March 31, 1921 in Heflin, Alabama to Judge Whitlock and Eula Alice (Blake) Beason. She was employed by the First National Bank in Snyder in 1941. The bank later changed to Bank of the Wichita's, where she worked for forty-eight years and seven months before retiring in 1990. She married Maryland Clevenger on December 18, 1942 in Snyder. He passed away December 3, 1993. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Snyder, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Lydia Sunday school Class until her health took its toll and she was no longer able to be active in the church. She had been a resident of Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder since 1993. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Roselle and Ronald Bartlett of Snyder, two grandsons and their wives, Dustin and April Bartlett of Snyder, and Calvin and Nikki Bartlett of Snyder. Two great granddaughters, Ashley Lynn Bartlett and Breleigh Amy Bartlett, adopted daughter Arlene Holloway of Lawton, and a sister-in-law Ruby Beason of Fort Worth, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.
