Funeral for Mareno Faye Barber, 87, Lawton will be at 12:30 PM Friday, August 15, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Miles, pastor officiating. Mrs. Barber died Monday, August 11, 2014 in Lawton. Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. She was born November 28, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Wesley and Myrtle (Wade) McGehee. She married CSM (Retired) Donald N. Barber on October 10, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas. He died May 31, 2005. Mrs. Barber had served as the president of the NCO Wives Club. She was a volunteer at the Election Board and the Fort Sill Thrift Shop. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 30 years and the Esther Sunday School Class. Mrs. Barber never met a stranger and was loved by all. Survivors include two children, Randy Taylor and his wife Linda Kay, Yukon and D'Etta Humphrey, Lawton and a granddaughter, Heather Wall and her husband Matthew, Charleston, South Carolina.
