McCarty, Minister, and Larry McIntosh, lay minister, officiating. Mr. Duncan died Wednesday, March 13, in Lawton. Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. L.W. was born May 7, 1925, in Lawton, to Leo and Willie Duncan. He attended Lawton public schools and graduated from Lawton High School in 1943. After graduation, L.W. enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Europe for two years during World War II with the 138th Engineer Combat Battalion. He enrolled at Cameron Junior College upon his return from the war. While in school at Cameron, and working at People's Ice Co., L.W. married Barbara McIntosh on August 30, 1947. She preceded him in death on June 13, 2008. After receiving his associate degree, he went to work at the U.S. Post Office. In 1953, he and Barbara launched a part-time business publishing TV Time Table. A few years later he quit his job at the Post Office, much to his father's dismay, and established L.W.
