Luther Darnell Gary, 74, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at his home in Lawton with his wife by his side. Luther was born January 1, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Luther and Arseal (Archie) Gary. He grew up in Lawton and served three years in the United States Army. Luther held several positions in his lifetime, one of his favorites was working for Nickels Security in Ohio and later he worked at a car wash in Kentucky. Luther married Hazel Tyler on May 17, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hazel and Luther lived in Kentucky from 1980-2018 until Luther retired and they moved home to Lawton.

Luther was an avid fisherman and bowler and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He did not care how good of a bowler you were just that he liked to bowl and spend time with others. Luther attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lawton.

Luther is survived by his wife, Hazel of the home, five children, sons, Trevier, Ermus, and Tony, and two daughters, Cassandra and Terri, many grandchildren, and five brothers.

Luther is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
