Age, 88, Sterling - Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2009 at Cement Cemetery with Bro. John Kerr officiating. Mrs. Golden died Wednesday in a Lawton Hospital. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher (formerly Robbins Funeral Home). She was born June 23, 1920 in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to Lane and Melissa (Scrivner) Hendershot. Lucille married Ernest William "Bunt" Golden on November 6, 1937 in Visalia, California. He died May 6, 1991. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her empathic modesty, humility and generous nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her three children, a daughter, Leona L. Hoover and her husband James, Sterling, OK and two sons, William L. Golden and wife Peggy R., Goose Creek, South Carolina; and Donald W. Golden, Sterling, Oklahoma; Six Grandchildren, Olen R. Hoover, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Shirley A. Batten and husband Stacy, Little River, South Carolina, Carl W. Hoover and wife Martha, Sterling, Oklahoma, Katrina M. Payo, Goose Creek, South Carolina, Joy Smith, Goose Creek, South Carolina, William Joseph Golden, Goose Creek, South Carolina, Seven Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
