Age 90, Snyder - Funeral services will be at 10:00am Thursday in the First Baptist Church, Snyder with Rev. Jeff Flowers, Pastor officiating. Mr. Wilson died Monday in a Snyder nursing home. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. He was born April 29, 1918 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to William Henry and Addie (Stephens) Wilson. He married Frances Lee Berry on December 24, 1937 in Mountain Park. She died September 3, 1998. He grew up in Mountain Park, having graduated from Mountain Park High School in 1936. His father operated the grocery store there from 1937 until 1943. He first began a grocery business in Snyder with his father in 1943. He bought the business in 1949. He owned and operated Wilson's Whiteway Grocery in Snyder for thirty-nine years before retiring. He was a member of the Lion's Club, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Snyder. He is survived by his two children, daughter Karen Lee Congero of De Land, FL, and a son Billy Wayne Wilson and his wife Ernestine of Atoka, OK. He is also survived by a sister, Verla McCollum of Murietta, California, six grandchildren, Jimmy Strickland of Amarillo, TX, Belinda Trevino of Conroe, TX, Sharon Miller of Powell, Ohio, Michelle Fielder of Wichita Falls, TX, Mary Duncan of Sache, TX, Kristie Mayfield of Garland, TX, 10 Great Grandchildren, and nephew Bruce Wilson of California and two nieces, Lisa Johnson of Murietta, California and Meridith Bayless of Las Vegas, NV.
