Loretta Jean Davis, 93, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025, at her home. She was born on April 18, 1932, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Lorne William and Florence Maude (Hubbert) Durant. On July 28, 1951, Loretta married the love of her life, Bill O. Davis, in Manistique, Michigan, and shortly thereafter, the couple made their home in Lawton. Loretta began working for Lawton Public Schools as a cook, serving at Eisenhower Junior High, Almor West Elementary, and Wilson Elementary. She later retired from Playcare, Inc., where she became affectionately known as "Grandma" to all the children-each of whom she loved as her own.

A devoted member of Lawton First Church of the Nazarene, Loretta was also active in the Girl Scouts and found great joy and friendship in the community around the Bingo table.

She is survived by her two sons, John Davis and wife Bridgett of Lawton, and James Davis of Lawton; her former daughter-in-law, Kathy Netherland; granddaughter, Heather Patnode and her fiancé James Masi of Cache, Oklahoma; step-grandson, Aaron Morales; three great-grandchildren, Gavin Anderson and Reagan Patnode; and step-great-grandson, Alijah Morales. Loretta also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Davis; five brothers-Ted, Chester, Roy, Lorne, and Kenneth Durant; her sister, Edna Cowell; and two additional sisters.

Loretta will be remembered for her kindness, her warm heart, and her unwavering love for family and friends.
