Graveside service for Loretta Elizabeth Bridwell, 89, formerly of Lawton, will be Friday at 10:30 am at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Becky Baxter-Ballou, Pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating. Mrs. Bridwell died Saturday in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born May 17, 1921 in Glencoe, Oklahoma to David I. and Delsie E. (Blair) Downs. She graduated from Glencoe High School. She married Norman C. Bridwell in 1939. He died in 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Robert Bridwell of Yukon, and Roger Bridwell and his wife Lyn of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Linda Bensing and her husband Robert of Niceville, Florida; two grandsons, Andrew Bridwell of Austin, Texas and James Bridwell and his wife Alicia of Goldsboro, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Stephanie Bridwell of Austin, Texas; and a great grandson, Boston Patrick Bridwell. Her parents; three brothers, John Downs, George Downs and David Downs; a sister, Mary Belle Graham; and an infant son, Jimmie preceded her in death.
