Funeral service for Lorene Messick, 82, Snyder will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 26, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel, with Pastor Jimmy Chandler, New Beginnings Church, Frederick, OK, officiating. Mrs. Messick passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her home in Snyder. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, OK. * The family will greet friends Sunday evening, October 25, 2015 from 5pm until 6pm at the funeral home.* She was born April 24, 1933 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Wesley and Elba Nile (Fraley) Jones. She married Johnny William Messick in Indiahoma, OK on March 6, 1951. He passed away August 21, 2006. Lorene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Susan Lynn and husband Weldon "Buster" Spurlin, six grandchildren; Mark Nicholas Gonzales, Skyla and husband Ivan Guillen, Quinton and wife Leah Ballard, Cassi and husband Drew Janz, Amber and husband Jordan Lindsey, Lee Lee Kuhn, great grandchildren; Troy Spurlin, Tori Janz, Trenton Ballard, Daniel Guillen, Ken Kuhn, Preston Ballard, Corban Lindsey, Azariah Lindsey, nieces and nephews; Georgie Young, Junior Purser and wife Trish, Johnny Purser and many great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Delissa Ann Messick in 1962, her siblings, Buddy Purser, Floyd Purser, Betty Ragan, Pearl Burkhart and two nieces, Debra King and Patsy Burkhart.
