Funeral Mass for Loraine F. Emery, 84, Lawton will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor officiating. Mrs. Emery died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Lawton. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born September 11, 1927 in McAlester, Oklahoma to John and Alba (Tempia) Figus. She married Jean Emery on July 5, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia. They married the love of their lives and spent 65 beautiful years together. As a military wife, she made a house a home for her family in these locations: Puerto Rico; Panama Canal Zone; Japan; Paris, France; Stuttgart, Germany, Oklahoma; Kansas; Nebraska; Alabama and North Carolina. Family, cooking and shopping were the delights of her life. She and Jean played bridge and mahjong with many friends over the years. Survivors include her husband, LTC (Retired) Jean Emery, of the home, son and daughter-in-law, David Stephen and Janet Emery, Huntsville, Alabama, two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele Y. and Garth Splinter, Oklahoma City and Toni and Bobby Ryans, Lawton, five grandchildren and their spouses, Yvonne and Lucas Fernandez, Cory and Stacy Ryans, David Splinter, Kimberly and Anthony Prince and Janelle Splinter. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Federico Fernandez, Joaquin Fernandez, Gabriela Fernandez, Santiago Fernandez, Taylor Ryans, Audrey Ryans, Hunter Prince and Jensen Prince; sister, Marguerite Taylor, Mustang, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Mary, Josephine, Modesta and Anne and four brothers, Manuel, John, Jr., Victor and Arthur.
