Word has been received on the death of Lois Jean Melendez, 74, Lawton. No services are scheduled at this time. Mrs. Melendez passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. She was born May 28, 1941 in Covington, Kentucky to Buddy William and Bernice Harris (Tahpay) Moses. She married Luis A. Melendez in April of 1971. She worked for over 15 years as a sales associate for Walmart. She enjoyed arts and crafts, collecting dolls and loved her animals. Lois was always thinking of others and doing for others. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband Luis of the home, a brother George Moses and his wife Teresa of Lawton, 4 children, Lupe Wishon of Irving, TX, Ben Lehew of Lawton, Luisa Melendez of Westminster, CO, Robert Lehew and wife Anita of Germany, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Waynese Ellis and 2 brothers, Jimmy Moses and Jerry Patton.
