Age 66, Lawton - Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Samuel J. Avritt, Retired Baptist Minister, Lawton, officiating. Mrs. Elrod died Monday in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery. She was born on June 20, 1941 in Lawton to Quentin Alfonso and Cora Marie (Hickman) Reid. She married Donald R. Elrod in Grandfield on January 16, 1956. She and Donald spent time in Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina and Colorado, and traveled to countless other places. She walked with the Lord and always put her family and those she loved first in her life. She raised children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who all loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by many but we take heart in the fact that she is making ready a home for the rest of us with our Heavenly Father. Survivors include her husband of the home; three children, Antoinette Wike of Lawton, Patrick Wayne Elrod of Dallas, Texas, and Patty Elayne Elrod of Lawton; six grandchildren, Tiffony Wike, Shawn Wike and Corey Wike, all of Lawton, Alex and Malea Elrod, both of Dallas, Texas, and Ashley Chapman and her husband, Joshua, of Fort Sill; three great grandchildren, Tristan, Emma and Audrey; and a sister, Delores Jean Vargas of Dewy, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Donald Elrod, Jr.
