Lloyd Gene Sampler, age 71, passed away on August 1, 2021 at his home in Lawton, OK. He was born on January 22, 1950 in Altus, OK to Jesse Lee and Louisa Margarette Sampler.

On May 22, 1971 Gene married the love of his life, Kim Denise Lore in Blair, OK. Gene was a master trim carpenter and loved fishing, golfing, and billiards.

Preceded in death by his parents, and one son Spc. Sonny Gene Sampler; Gene is survived by his wife Kim of the home, his son Rellon "Skeeter" Sampler and his wife Jennifer (Cache), his two daughters; Gina Gonser and her husband Ty (Texico, NM) and Vicki Sampler (Texico, NM), his two brothers; Jerry and his wife Sue Ann (Custer City, OK) and Dean and his wife Patty (Russelville, AR), his nine grandchildren; Brooke, Allison, Jadyn, Kyle, Sonny, Tylan, Riley, Jonathan, and Zayne along with many cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends

We will forever miss his witty sense of humor, his booming laugh and voice, and his willingness to help those in need with a project.

His graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery; 13400 North Kelley Avenue; Oklahoma City, OK on August, 7, 2021 at 1:30 PM presided by Rev. Justin Sampler.
