On Thursday evening, August 1, 2024 Livigisitone "Livi" Peni Tuigamala, was called home to our
Heavenly Father after a life richly lived in service and compassion. Surrounded by his family in
his final days, he will be remembered for his joyful spirit, immense sense of humor and his
enthusiastic high fives.

Born in Vailuutai, Samoa to Peni Tuigamala and Lusia Uluosooso on the Fourth of July in 1953,
and raised in Vaitogi, American Samoa. Livi was the third of five children. A middle child
through and through, his charismatic and sometimes rebellious personality often kept his parents
and siblings on their toes. In 1977, Livi enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served
his country over the span of two decades. Inspired by his military career and ready to embark on
new adventures, he knew that he wanted to live a life of meaning and impact. He discovered his
calling as a church deacon with Spoken Word Ministries, in Lawton. Whether it was feeding and
helping those less fortunate, sharing his testimony with a stranger or simply singing loud and offkey
during praise and worship, Livi was extremely proud of the work he did within his
community and he cherished the life-long friendships made with his church family.
Of all his life achievements, none held more value than his family. Livi became a father when his
son, Livigisitone Peni, was born in 1988 and he beamed with pride anytime he spoke about his
son or his many accomplishments. It wouldn't be until years later, after a typical Sunday
morning service, that Livi would meet the love of his life, Fia Tupua. Together for over twenty
years, Livi was a devoted husband and stepfather. As the patriarch of their blended family, he
lived every day by example and was the epitome of a protector and provider. Each of his children
share wonderful memories of him and his boisterous personality but nothing brought him more
joy than his grandchildren. They were the pinnacle of his life and he never missed an opportunity
to spoil them, despite their parents' misgivings. For those that knew and loved Livi, this world
will never be the same but we are comforted in the fact that he lived a full and beautiful life.
Livi was preceded in death by his parents, Peni and Lusia, older brother, Peni and daughter,
Christina Pogi.

He is survived by his wife, Fia, children, Livigisitone Peni, Malae Pogi, Gafa Jr. Pogi, Howard
and wife, Nicole Pogi, Tuiala and wife, Sara Pogi, Aso and wife, Tabitha Pogi, Kanesa Pogi,
Tino and husband, Jon Sivao, William and wife, Lini Schroeder, sisters, Apaula, Aimeamiti
Setasi and Fitimalo, grandchildren, great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
